In a time where we can Google anything, we can also be met the frustration of finding legitimate resources for the information we need. The Enoch Pratt Library has resources from reading to courses and networks to help you not only build and market your organization, but find grants to support the work you do.
Whether you are just getting started or buiding your expertise the Enoch Pratt Library ahs the right books. The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Recommended Reading List are always available for check out and updated with the best publications.
The Candid Catalog of Nonprofit Literature offers eBooks on a wide variety of topics that include social media marketing, impact measurement, consulting, and much more, all available on OverDrive.
Online Nonprofit Classes are accessible in all Pratt Library locations and from home with your library card. Gale Courses offers many classes on grant writing and nonprofit sector topics. These free classes are taught by college instructors and other experts in the field. Most courses are six weeks long and you will receive a certificate upon completion.
You can also take classes with Grants Librarian, Anna Tatro, to learn the basics of creating a non-profit like creating a mission statement and project basics.

With the Gale Small Business Builder you can learn the elements you need to know to write bylaws, secure funding, and build your organization. This is a great tool for structuring your nonprofit’s creation and operation allowing you to focus on enhancing your organization’s social mission.

FDO makes it easy to turn foundations into funders. It’s the only resource you need to search for the foundations most likely to give you grants and manage your prospects through to funding.
