Taking A Vacation From Your Business

It’s summertime, and although most of us don’t get a long summer break, it’s still important to take a break when you run or own a business.

As a business owner, it’s easy to get caught up in the need to always “be in” your business. Don’t let hustle mode take over all the time. Taking a vacation from your business allows you to take a step back to breathe, regroup, and come back feeling more refreshed.

Many business owners struggle with burnout, stress, and anxiety from the pressure of running a business. That’s why it’s so important to counteract these stresses with planned time off – whether a vacation or staycation.

Here at Redstart, we believe in the importance of time away from work and fully support all of our team in doing so. When one of our team members is taking a much-needed vacation, we work as a time to fiercely protect their time away. We work with each other to communication with clients, reassign tasks and manage projects while people are away. This is one of the best parts of being a team!

Taking a vacation doesn’t mean you have to completely detach from your business. Vacation can be an ideal time to work on high-level strategy and planning for your business that you don’t necessarily get to do Monday through Friday. Or simply by giving your brain a break from the intense focus of day to day, you can gain clarity on big picture items.

For instance, on a recent vacation, Rebecca took the morning to do some strategic planning and goal-setting with her Cultivate What Matters powersheets!

As a business owner, we know you’re busy. If you are feeling overwhelmed and need to take some tasks off your hands so you can take a break, reach out! Outsourcing is a great way to grow your business.
